Ipswich Transport Society

Ipswich Transport Society

The Ipswich Transport Society was formed from a schoolboys’ group who met at Ipswich Station in the mid-fifties, being established as the Ipswich Land Transport Society in 1957 led by a local headmaster and rail enthusiast. A bus group was subsequently added. An aspect of the Society, the Ipswich Transport Museum, was spun off from the Society in 1990.
